animationsmears:
These are from McKimson’s Foghorn Leghorn. some exceptionally skillful smears in that they serve to perfectly accent and lubricate fast motion (and look pretty darn ridiculous on their own) but you barely register them in normal playback.
I’d love to link to more smears from the same scene or even to the original scene itself, but unfortunately the blog’s code forbids me from doing so!
I always thought McKimson did some of the most visibly fluid and motion-rich Looney Tunes shorts - I’ve noticed it ever since I was little. Really neat to see one of these smears in action, and I’d love to see more.

Hallo, everybody! *waves* I just broke 50 followers (which is totally rad) and I’d like to do something to thank y’all. Plus expand my DW-drawing horizons at the same time! Total win-win.
So, I’m taking doodle requests! Between now and Sunday morning (4/17/11) (since Tumblr doesn’t timestamp…
You know how Futurama puts the heads of famous celebrities in a jar with a nice little nameplate? How about trying it with your favorite version of the Doctor? :)
How this works.
History is a fun subject. Cartoons are fun too. We may then consider it safe to assume that history + cartoons = double fun.
Each update will have a little of both. How many updates there are in a given run of Famous Things will depend on the number of Famous Things in that series. One series, for example, will consist of 43 things, and another will consist of 263. (This is a hint as to what Famous Things are.)
There are at least four series planned at the moment. If you would like to request a Famous Thing to be explored, please use the “ask me anything” button, but it may take some time (understandably) to get around to.
Updates should be biweekly and should begin sometime in late January.
Cheers
